The Midway Early Learning Center provides full-day, full-year care and education for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. All of the families PFS serves are at low-income or poverty level.
Peninsula Family Service (PFS) has operated the Midway Early Learning Center (ELC) since 2012 and now has the unique opportunity to move into a new, state-of-the-art learning environment for children who are at greatest risk for low academic performance.
Embedded in the design of the model Center is our expertise in child development and emphasis on our comprehensive curriculum, including literacy, the arts, and our signature STEM from the Start program to better prepare students for kindergarten and beyond. The Midway Campaign will fund innovative early learning design with state-of-the-art features, furniture, fixtures, structures and equipment for all classrooms and playgrounds, as well as full curriculum components and start-up staff for the new Center.
The Midway ELC will be a vital resource within Midway Village which will have 550 affordable housing units. Once completed, this will be the largest affordable housing complex in San Mateo County. During construction, the PFS Midway Early Learning Center will continue to operate in a temporary building until we move into the new facility in 2026. The new Midway ELC will increase the number of students served in the community.
We invite you to invest in the Midway Early Learning Center Campaign by making a gift today to support inspired learning for children in our community.
